| How To Dispose of your Needles and Syringes |

Do you use coffee cans or detergent jugs or just put them in the trash or even flush them down the toilet? The Gibson County Health Department and the Gibson County Solid Waste District recommend using a professional sharps container for correct storage of used syringes & needles until you dispose of them.
Starting January 1, 2007, appropriate containers will be available FREE OF CHARGE to Gibson County residents at the Health Department located at 800 S. Prince Street, Princeton. Once the container is full, return it to the Health Department where it will be properly disposed of and receive a new container for your use. This is an easy way to insure that persons collecting & disposing of trash are not accidentally stuck with a used needle.
